Lydia and Alyssa are very patient with all participants. They do an excellent job of first focusing on the fundamentals/skating foundations which you can see helps build confidence in each of the skaters. They also make the lessons fun and creative for all participants.

We love Rainbow Skate Society! Alyssa and Lydia are fantastic with the kids – they are great at meeting each participant at their own comfort levels and encouraging and supporting them to try new things and they are always so positive! They are also very responsive and communicate well with parents. Two of my kids skate with RSS, when they first started they would either cling to a person or the skating trainer/aid. By the end of their first lesson they were skating by themselves (without a trainer/aid and without having to hold onto anyone) and since then their confidence has just soared! Within the first few weeks of lessons my kids were skating under a limbo-type bar and weaving in and out of cones so confidently! They are just about to start the “advanced” lessons and are so excited! My favorite thing about the lessons so far is that Alyssa and Lydia end the lessons with positive affirmations reminding participants and teachers alike that they can do hard things!

My 7-year old daughter's first lesson was with Miss Lydia she loved it so much we had to enroll our almost 4 year old son. Both kids were up but wobbly in their first session however, most important skill they learned day 1 is how to fall. They're both cruising after 6 weeks. We are on to the second round in a few weeks...highly recommend!
